Ancient Civilization Inspired Dress

This dress was made for an "Ancient Civilization" based project where I mainly focused on the Aztecs, Mayans and Ancient Nepal, The top is machine embroidered scales stitched together to form a "breastplate", and henna inspired tear drops below to add a touch of softness.

Blue Sea Inspired Dress

Here is a sample dress I produced for a "Weather" brief. For this one i was inspired by the waves and surf on the sea so the main colours are blue and white with white twisted fabric detail and blue machine embroidered swirls.

Hummingbird inspired Art

I got really inspired by Hummingbirds and did quite a lot of work inspired by their bright colours and delicate shapes, here is some pieces which include textile art, acrylic paintings and ceramics.

Japanese inspired Jewelry

Here is a jewelry collection inspired by Japan, I was heavily influenced by origami and japanese culture.

Jewel beetles!

A headpeice I made inspired by the jewel beetle, I used real jewel beetle wings as a trim and large insect influenced layers for the base.

Weather Inspired Dress

My weather inspired dress, took elements from the wind by using light chiffon and from the sea by adding puffs and ruffles.

Textile Jewelry.

Some textile jewelry inspired by abstract bird shapes for a "feather" brief. I was really inspired by Wai-Yuk Kennedy and her textile art.
