Ooh Quilted bodice!

Thought quilting seems quite spacey so I did a quilted bodice with pointed shoulders and a long neck, I like it..

Toile making

For my new project based on the theme of space I've been coming up with a few ideas and churning out a few mock ups along the way..

AlienWear

Been playing some alien inspired games lately and I've been waiting for the time to do some silly designs of aliens playing dress-up. Just thought it would be funny.

Fashion Artwork

A few more pieces of fashion illustration in the form of artwork, more like conceptual fashion illustration. I wanted both pieces to be very surreal and interesting.

Fashion Illustration Experiments

While I will always remain faithful to my markers, I decided to experiment with other techniques to do fashion illustrations with such as collage and embroidery.

Distorted portraits

In these portraits I distorted them by lengthening the neck and hands and by making the eyes and mouth bigger, they ended up looking like the models for my fashion illustrations.

Tria Markers

I have become obsessed with Tria Markers by Letraset. They come especially grouped for disciplines from fashion design to architecture and have a variety of skin tones, brights and blender colours.
Here are some designs that I used the markers on..whoever invented them is a genius.

Ancient Civilization Inspired Dress

This dress was made for an "Ancient Civilization" based project where I mainly focused on the Aztecs, Mayans and Ancient Nepal, The top is machine embroidered scales stitched together to form a "breastplate", and henna inspired tear drops below to add a touch of softness.

Here is my mood board to show my main inspiration -

Blue Sea Inspired Dress

Here is a sample dress I produced for a "Weather" brief. For this one i was inspired by the waves and surf on the sea so the main colours are blue and white with white twisted fabric detail and blue machine embroidered swirls.
